The United Church of Ware is committed to a number of missions and ministries in our local community. We manage the Ware Fuel Bank Emergency Assistance program, provide the use of our building space for those seeking recovery from substance abuse, and offer free and inexpensive meals to the greater Ware community. We also work with city government on the city’s goals for Ware, with neighborhood activists providing additional food for the community, and with another local faith community to support their music ministry that gives donated funds to other non-profits in our midst. Through all these things and more, we seek to make God’s love and justice real for all.
Whether it is feeding 240 people on Thanksgiving or welcoming 60 children and their families to share some Christmas magic, our Fellowship Hall and the sanctuary are transformed for and by these families.
